Refund Policy
When and how you can get a refund for a Cuebird Pro subscription.
Draft. This document was prepared before launch and is not yet in effect. Values marked {{ }} will be filled in once the operator details are settled, and the text will be finalised after legal review, with an effective date.
1. Who processes refunds
Pro is sold by Paddle as our merchant of record and reseller, and Paddle processes refunds. Money goes back to the payment method you used; how quickly it shows up depends on your card issuer or payment provider. The Paddle Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.
2. Free trial
The 7-day free trial needs no payment method and charges nothing, so there is nothing to refund. When it ends, the account goes back to Free automatically.
3. 14-day refund on your first payment
If you ask within 14 days of your account’s first Pro payment, we refund it in full, no questions asked. The subscription ends at once and the account goes back to Free. This applies to the first payment on each account.
4. Renewals
Automatic renewal payments are generally not refunded. If you don’t want to renew, cancel before the next billing date; Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Renewals are refunded, however, when:
- you haven’t used any Pro feature since the renewal and you ask within the statutory withdrawal period below; or
- a 12-month subscription renewed and you ask within {{14}} days of the renewal.
5. Statutory withdrawal rights
This policy doesn’t reduce rights you have under the law that applies to you. Where the law is more generous, the law applies.
- Republic of Korea: under Article 17 of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, you can withdraw within 7 days of receiving the contract details (or of the service starting). Withdrawal may be limited by law once supply of digital content has begun; we make Pro available to try first through the free trial and tell you this before you pay. If the service differs from how it was described or advertised, or from the contract, you can withdraw within 3 months of receiving it and within 30 days of when you learned, or could have learned, of the difference.
- EU, EEA and UK: consumers can withdraw within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason and receive a full refund. If you expressly agreed to the service starting within that period, the right may be limited as the law provides. The details follow the Paddle Buyer Terms.
- Elsewhere: the consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.
6. Other refunds
- Billing errors, such as the same payment being charged twice
- Pro features being unavailable for an extended time because of a problem on our side (refunded in proportion to the time lost)
- Cancelling because we shut down the Service or reduced a core Pro feature (the unused part of the period is refunded)
Otherwise, cancelling mid-period doesn’t refund the remaining time pro rata. We may decline refunds where the policy is repeatedly abused, to the extent the law allows.
7. How to ask for a refund
- Ask Paddle directly, as described in the receipt email Paddle sent you, or
- email {{Contact email}} with your account email address and the order number from your receipt. We’ll check and refund through Paddle.
We reply within {{3}} business days of your request.
